Muskoka Boat & Heritage Centre

The dynamic, 20,000 square foot Muskoka Boat & Heritage Centre is open year round

Be sure to visit the Centre's one-of-a-kind exhibits celebrating life on the water in Muskoka and, for that hard-to-buy-for person, the Gift Shop offers an array of imaginative souvenirs and nautical gifts for Christmas.

This year's feature exhibit, The Muskoka Bay Story, invites guests to step back in time.  Get your ticket at the recreated Wharf Station ticket office and travel back in time where you will experience the discovery and development of Muskoka Bay through the eyes of the earliest settlers, recreationists and entrepreneurs.  Meet the McCabe's, "Mickey" and "Mother" and find out why she can lay claim to the title "first promoter of Muskoka tourism" and appreciate the impact of the arrival of train service at the Muskoka Wharf.  Enjoy a model railway display arriving at a scale model Wharf Station and more.

Successful 2011 Sailing Season

On behalf of the Captains, Crew and Management, we sincerely thank our passengers and supporters for an incredible 2011 sailing season.  Both the Segwun and Wenonah II welcomed passengers from around the world as they continued the Real Muskoka tradition of offering unrivelled cruises on the Muskoka lakes.  The ships will soon be enjoying a well-deserved rest at their home port in Gravenhurst.

Until we see you again, may your brass be well polished, your woodwork gleaming and your engines full of steam!

DRYDOCKING

Ever wondered what the Segwun or Wenonah II might look like if they were lifted out of the water? Through until the end of October, both ships will be situated in Port Carling Lock for their 5-year drydocking and inspections. If you are interested in seeing our "grand ladies" elevated out of the water, we invite you to visit the Lock in Port Carling.

QM2 was conferred "RMS" by Royal Mail when she entered service in 2004 on the Southampton to New York route as a gesture to Cunard's history – The RMS Segwun is the oldest Royal Mail Ship in the world.
